Data.seattle.gov formally launched nearly two months ago, with a flurry of press releases, an initial batch of “60 datasets” and the promise of more. WTF? In an affront to environmental poster boy, Sierra Club leader and mayoral candidate Mike McGinn, the King County Conservation Voters have decided not to endorse either candidate in the mayor’s race. It’s hard to build a movement when you won’t stand with your own. Very disappointing.

Governor Gregoire to Seattle: I’m tearing down the viaduct in 2012, ready or not. That’s the kind of bold leadership I’d like to see more of.
